Two thousand years after he walked the earth, Jesus of Nazareth remains one of those most talked-about and influential people that have ever lived. At the reJesus or christianity. org website, you can see how he has been quoted and misquoted, filmed and written about, worshipped and argued over. Many other websites are also useful to explore the question ‘Who is Jesus?'
The world has thousands of church denominations, often divided by comparatively small differences in understanding the Bible message (Christians have our fair share of human failings, like anyone else!) However, any way you look at it, Christianity is about Christ and Christians all share faith in the essentials of what we call ‘the Gospel' (from the Greek: ‘Good News').
As we happen to be part of the Church of England (or the ‘Anglican Church'), here is a link to the Our Faith page of the Church of England website. It aims to be helpful in explaining what Christians believe and why. Remember though, that what you read there about the core of our faith will get the nod of agreement from Christians in all the different brands of churches (denominations) around the world.
So, All Saints' Church is a local Church of England church coming together because of the Gospel and the important things that we hold in common because of what we believe. And as a parish church, we are there to support everybody in the community in their quest to discover the Christian message for themselves.
In the meantime, why not just come and join us one Sunday?
